Join Mr Jonathan Bell, Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon and passionate skier, alongside expert coaches from the Warren Smith Ski Academy, for a full day of tailored ski instruction, technique coaching and confidence building.
Over 20 years ago, Jonathan Bell and Warren Smith began working together to support elite skiers returning to sport after injury. Since then, their Return to Ski days and roadshows have helped hundreds of skiers of all levels rebuild confidence, refine their technique and return to the mountains safely.
You will also be supported by a specialist physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in rehabilitation, who works closely with Jonathan. They will provide a personalised pre-event assessment where required, and will be part of the expert team supporting you throughout your return to skiing.
What to Expect
Pre-Ski Physiotherapy Assessment
The physiotherapy assessment will take place in October. Once payment is confirmed, Marilia will contact you to arrange a suitable appointment time.
Alternatively, if you have your own physiotherapist and they are happy to assess you and sign you off as ready to return to skiing, you will not need to complete the pre-event assessment with our physiotherapist.
Expert Ski Coaching
Expert Knee Guidance, Technique and Injury Prevention
Mr Bell and the instructor will be on the slopes with you throughout the day, providing guidance on your knee, answering questions about your recovery and addressing any concerns or niggles. They will also observe your skiing and work to identify any movement or technique issues that could increase your risk of injury, helping you to ski with greater confidence and reassurance.
If you would like to invite your own physiotherapist to attend and support you on the day, you are very welcome to do so. Just let Marilia know in advance.

Full event price: £525 Early Bird price: £465 when booked by 1 October
Your booking includes:- Full-day access and ski pass at The Snow Centre
- Full-day expert ski instruction
- Pre-event physiotherapy assessment, where required
- Support and guidance from Mr Bell, the physiotherapist and Warren Smith Ski Academy
Physiotherapy Assessment and Refund Policy
The pre-event physiotherapy assessment is an important part of ensuring that you are physically ready to ski safely on the day. If, following your assessment, our physiotherapist feels that you are not ready or should not take part in the event, your course fee will be refunded, less the £85 physiotherapy assessment fee.
If your own physiotherapist assesses you and is happy to sign you off before the event, the pre-event assessment with our physiotherapist will not be required, and the Early Bird price will be reduced to £380.
